WHAT IS UP GUYS! Sneezy GANG back with another amazing blog!
This morning we crept out of our sleeping bags at the wee hour of 5:30
a.m. We were all very chilly as it was a
frigid morning on the shores of Bear Lake!
We slipped away quickly and quietly so we wouldn’t wake up the other
campsites around us and started our driving for the day. If the group wasn’t
already awake, our fearless leader, Grant, blasted the sweetest music to wake
up everyone on the bus. For example, the
classic ‘What Does The Fox Say’ was played on full volume. Today our adventures
took us across three different states, Utah, Idaho, and finally Wyoming!
Our first stop was to the quaint little town of Jackson
Hole, Wyoming. Before Jackson Hole, we had an amazing breakfast of pop tarts on
the vans and croissants with Nutella on the bus. The group raided the T-shirt
store, Shirt Off My Back, as soon as we got into town. After racking up on souvenirs, the gang ran around
to find and test out the World famous, Bison burgers! All we have to say is: YUM!!! We rolled out of Jackson Hole at 12 p.m.
sharp and made a quick drive over into the Grand Teton National Park.
We slowed down a bit in the Grand Tetons and piled in the
quiet and peaceful Episcopal Chapel of the Transfiguration. This was the third,
and arguably hardest special moment the participants have had on the trip. As
we stared out the window, looking on the pristine and amazing landscape, it was
easy to make this a truly special moment and memory. We may not know all the
answers, but we do know that they are blowing in the wind.
After some quick tears and snapshots in front of the
Grandest of Tetons, we loaded up and hit the road for the oldest national park
in the country, Yellowstone, and more specifically, Old Faithful. On the way to
Yellowstone, a few of the guys got in touch with their feminine sides and got the
eyebrows done by Toula L. on the bus. WOOP!!!! We eventually ventured into the
Old Faithful Inn, and then to the geyser herself. We only had to wait a few
minutes to see the fireworks to go off. BOOM!
The geyser entertained us for a few minutes, but the gift
shop was calling our names (like always)!
After some more essential souvenirs and trinkets, we got on the bus
again this time heading for and stopping at the Mud Pots, where we got a
surprise visit from our friendly neighborhood geyserologist: Counselor MADI!
This was our last stop before getting on the bus to get to our campsite at
Ponderosa Campground in Cody, WY.
Well boys and girls, it’s been fun and its been real, and it
DEFINITLEY has been real fun. Thank you for all the love and support, make sure
